Greetings from the city of angels – Los Angeles! This week, the Lord gave us daily additions, as He blessed us with six baptisms – Jordan (W), RJ (C), Uriah (OC), Pamela (OC), Hirem (OC), and Ray (OC), and one restoration – Frances (OC).Chris Broom, our OC Region Leader shares in more detail: God poured out His blessings this weekend in Orange County! First, on Saturday morning, we gathered for the wedding of Eric & Gloria, who were both recently baptized. They have been together for 11 years and even have children together, but were never married. Tony & Therese Untalan, along with the rest of their Bible Talk, did an incredible job making their wedding an absolutely beautiful event! Then on Saturday evening, disciples came from near and far (including the San Diego Church) to celebrate the seventh wedding anniversary of Sameer & Loidy Frenzley. From the food to the entertainment to the heart felt sharing and gratitude expressed for this wonderful couple, it was one of the most amazing parties I have ever seen!
On Sunday, the OC Region was super encouraged to have Raul Moreno visiting from the mission field! Raul presided over communion and later preached for our Spanish Service! Ricky Challinor preached a powerful sermon at our English Service, and then he and his wife Coleen baptized four campus students from the Fullerton Sector! We also had a very moving restoration in the Irvine Sector, as Frances joined us directly from being in the ICOC! She shared with tears how thankful she was to be restored to her “first love and do the things [she] did at first!” Finally, at our Bible Talk Leader’s Meeting, Chip Moody got on one knee and asked Ashley Pearson, the daughter of Pat & Pam Boea of the South Central Ministry, to marry him… She said Yes!
